Study programs are credit based meaning that you build up a degree step by step suited to your own personal and professional development. You are able to gain credit for some of your work experience (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning), and gain the majority of the credit from qualifications studied with Lx Training (counted as Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning).
The qualifications you acquire with us on this pathway provide this ‘credit value’ and will count towards your attainment of a degree. If you wish to step off the programme at the end of an award level due to changes in your lifestyle, to start a family or changing job roles, you can do this. Once you are ready to study again, you then enrol onto the next level of award. and continue working towards you entry to the final year for select degrees.
If you are studying part time or flexibly you can complete degree years 1 and 2 in as little as 6 months and up to 24 months, depending on the amount of credit you already have. The Table below highlights the benefits of this step by step approach in comparison to a traditionally taught full time three year degree program:
Accreditation of Prior Learning
Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) enables you to bring in to your degree pathway qualifications you have already achieved, if they are of the appropriate level and type. For example our level 4 diploma counts towards the credit for the first year of your degree, whilst the level 5 diploma counts towards the second year so that you can move onto the next ‘year’ or level.
